If you have never been to New Hope, PA, you're missing out. Happily, I have many watercolors and photographs of the lovely surroundings hereabout.
This postcard was an experiment in altering perspective and color a la Ian Fennerly. The Buck's County Playhouse is well-known to locals as a place to see Broadway stars who come here to perform in a more low-key setting.
The Playhouse was, indeed, a mill at one time that was reconstructed after a fire—thus, it was the New Hope for the town (eh? get it? 😉)
